Primordial was painted to remember myself after a heartbreaking season — a return to strength, intuition, and the power that radiates from the womb. This piece carries spiritual force: elements, chakras, heat, and renewal woven together through every layer. It is deeply personal, fiercely independent, and created with nearly every medium I own, building a living ecosystem of color, texture, and energy.

I began this piece by building the background, not yet knowing what it would become. During Women’s History Month, when calls for feminine strength were everywhere, the inspiration clicked — the background I’d already created was the perfect foundation for the image I wanted to make. Sisterhood grew from that moment, a reminder of how powerful women become when they rise together.

Moth Lady was inspired by a girls’ trip to the Oregon coast — Cannon Beach, Youngs River Falls, and one unforgettable night when a majestic moth stayed with us. The piece blends surreal nature, coastal energy, and the feeling of being held by the landscape. It was also a turning point in my practice, where I experimented with new techniques that carried forward into much of my later work.
